The viewer reads the selected file in the current tab and releases its temporary browser resources when you open another file or leave the page.
1. Local file processing
When you choose or drop a WebP file, browser APIs read the file on your device. The viewer may parse its RIFF container, decode frames, render them to a canvas, and create temporary in-memory object URLs. That work happens locally in the browser.
The site does not receive, store, transmit, or back up the image. Your file name, path, pixels, EXIF/XMP values, animation frames, and exported PNG are not sent to our servers.
2. Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand whether the public pages load, which general device/browser types visit, and whether the viewer succeeds. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and may process your IP address to provide approximate region and technical measurements.
Viewer events are deliberately limited to non-content signals such as:
- whether a file selection led to a successful load;
- coarse file-size and frame-count ranges;
- whether the file was animated or static;
- general control actions such as play, pause, speed, theme, or frame export; and
- a non-sensitive error category when loading fails.
Analytics does not receive file names, file content, object URLs, local paths, frame images, exact metadata, or the values stored inside your WebP. Google signals are disabled in our GA4 configuration. We do not show a separate analytics consent popup; you can block analytics using browser controls, content blockers, or Google’s available opt-out tools.
Cloudflare Web Analytics may also collect aggregate page-view and browser performance measurements used to monitor site delivery. It does not receive the image files you select or data extracted from those files by the viewer.
3. Local browser storage
The site stores one preference in your browser: the selected warm, blue, or dark theme. It does not store your image or a list of files you opened. Clearing site data removes this preference.
4. Feedback and email
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not attach a confidential image unless you intentionally want support to receive it. We use feedback to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Cloudflare delivers the website and may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, security signals, edge logs, and aggregate browser performance telemetry. Google provides website analytics as described above. Email providers process messages you send us.
We may disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer. Because viewer files are never uploaded to us, we do not have those files to disclose.
6. Retention, children, and your choices
Retention for infrastructure and analytics data is determined by the configured provider settings and legitimate operational needs. Support email is kept only as long as reasonably useful for the conversation, safety, or recordkeeping.
The service is a general-purpose file utility and is not directed to children under 13. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal information we control.
7. Contact and changes
Privacy questions may be sent to [email protected]. We may update this policy as the service or providers change. The date at the top shows the current version.
